Baptisms and Weddings
Holy Baptism and Holy Matrimony are two of the Church's seven Sacraments. The Sacraments are outward and visible signs of inward and spiritual grace, given by Christ as sure and certain means by which we receive that grace. The Sacraments are the most holy of all the church's services and celebrations.
HOLY BAPTISM
Holy Baptism is the Sacrament by which God adopts us as his children and makes us members of Christ's Body, the Church, and inheritors of the Kingdom of God (Book of Common Prayer pg. 858). Trinity has regularly scheduled dates for Baptism. Additional opportunities can be discussed with parish clergy. Parents and Godparents of the baby or child to be baptized make the commitment to bring them up in the Christian faith. Baptismal classes are usually held a few days prior to the Baptism. Call the church office (254-968-6949) for upcoming Baptism dates. You can explore the Sacrament of Holy Baptism in the Book of Common Prayer, pages 299-308.
HOLY MATRIMONY
Holy Matrimony is Christian marriage, in which two enter into a life-long union, make their vows before God and the Church, and receive the grace and blessing of God to help them fulfill their vows. Premarital counseling is required of all couples seeking the Sacrament of Marriage. Making plans much further in advance is strongly advised, in order to ensure scheduling flexibility. You can explore the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony in the Book of Common Prayer, pages 422-432.
